Volunteer Spotlight: Prince Fully

I first embarked on my journey with Ambitious Africa (A.A) in the summer of 2020 through an invite link sent from Dr. Emmite Dennis (Director, Teaching and Learning Center, University of Liberia) to attend the AA Onboarding session. During the session, I was curious about bringing AA to Liberia. After the session, I booked a one-on-one chat with Ronny and Tiia. They both guided me through the official lunch of Ambitious Liberia. I was inspired to join Ambitious Africa because of my passion to build young people's capacity and create an employable network environment for them.
Furthermore, Ambitious Africa's work to bring together and empower young people is a direct reflection of my passion, and for this reason, the work is of great interest to me. As a young person from Liberia, a geologist, a certified Moodle Administrator, a Moodle Plugin Developer, an R- Programmer, and a current lecturer at the University of Liberia, School of Pharmacy, Ambitious Africa has been a great platform for meeting awesome new people all over the world.
It’s been an honour to work together with talented people from every corner of the planet and further great projects. Finally, as a Team Lead for Ambitious Liberia, some of my challenges include: insufficient funding for new ventures and insufficient operational funding to carry out our day-to-day operations.
Finally, some of my most memorable experiences are team brainstorming for project ideas and the commencement of our Monrovia Ecosystem project. My most memorable feeling as the Head of Ambitious Liberia is seeing myself co-working in the development of a platform that will provide a visual representation of resources to connect entrepreneurs to co-working spaces, accelerators, startups, hubs, financial and higher learning institutions, and competitions for young people.
